So what's an FKM rubber strap?
FKM stands for Fluoroelastomer, a very high-quality and stunningly soft man-made rubber often used in aerospace and nautical industries.
It is remarkably resistant to chemicals (oxidation, acids, fuels), and has truly astonishing temperature durability from - 60°C to 225°C (maybe take our word for it rather than testing it yourself :)
As for the quick release part, it's remarkably easy to put this strap on any watch you have with a 20mm lug width (ahem: such as the Mission 1 and Mission 2 Scout). No more sharp tools, just click and it's very securely on your watch.
The Mission rubber strap is perfect for your active lifestyle and it looks terrific. It feels as good and wears as well as some of the famous rubber straps at significantly higher price points.
